Mental Health and Global Health: Responses and Commitments from Clinical and Health Psychology
It is with immense satisfaction that, within the scope of the Doctorate in Clinical and Health Psychology at UBI, the Department of Psychology and Education in collaboration with the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences and the Faculty of Health Sciences of the University of Beira Interior holds the 3rd International Conference on Clinical and Health Psychology at the University of Beira Interior, on the 20th and 21st of May 2024, at the facilities of the Faculty of Health Sciences – in the city of Covilhã/Serra da Estrela, Portugal.
“Mental Health and Global Health: Responses and Commitments from Clinical and Health Psychology” is the theme of this year’s international conference, in a hybrid format, which will reduce distances and increase global participation. In recent times, the current world has suffered enormous global challenges created by crises, in relation to which Clinical and Health Psychology plays a decisive role in overcoming the challenges that current times pose to all citizens, and, consequently, to professionals who intervenes in the promotion of mental health and well-being on an individual, group and social level. Clinical and Health Psychology can contribute significantly to improve and maintain Quality of Life, adapting adjusted and integrated responses, inspired by applied research.
In this third event organized within the scope of the Doctorate in Clinical and Health Psychology at the University of Beira Interior, invited keynote speakers of merit and (inter)national recognition will be presented. In addition to the conferences, there are also work presentation sessions, in two formats, Oral Presentation Symposia and Poster Session. I hope that this Conference contribute to the joint construction of knowledge in Clinical and Health Psychology, as well as sharing collective experiences that contribute to overcoming the challenges of today’s world.
